I tried a new recipe this week – Poached Chicken Salad Sandwich – it was really good and I’ll definitely make it again!

New art supplies!! My obsession with baker’s twine continues. I discovered a heavier version of the popular string and now have brown, pink & black. You’ll see it repeatedly, trust me.

New coffee – I live in the coffee capital of the world and, well, there’s a lot of bad coffee. But my latest find is Peet’s Ethiopian Fancy. Mmmmm! I use the pour over drip thing and I like it strong. Give it a try!

My new Le Creuset dutch oven arrived! Yea!! I have longed for one for what seems like forever – I found a great deal online, it arrived the other day and I was making stew and braising pork in no time. It is so pretty, I just can’t put it away. *heavy sigh* No really, it is very heavy…really heavy.

 

I recently heard this song and really like it – the video is not that great – it looks like a bunch of friends hanging out but the song is cool. ‘This is the New Year‘ by A Great Big World.

Weather report – rain, interspersed with rain, with occasional rain. Damn it is wet!
